Olympia Fields Country Club welcomes you to the 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship! 


  • Fact Sheet
    • Dates: Aug. 17-23, 2015

      Field: 312 top amateurs from around the world

      Format: 18 holes of stroke played on Aug. 17-18 on each of the two qualifying courses, after which the field will be cut to the low 64 scorers. Six rounds of match play begin on Aug. 19 and the championship concludes with a 36-hole championship match on Aug. 23.

      Location: The U.S. Amateur Championship will be contested at the historic Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Illinois.

      • No Laptop Computers and/or Full Size Computers (tablets and other mobile devices are permitted)
      • No Cameras (other than during practice rounds for personal non-commercial photographic use only)
      • No Video Recording Devices (video recording is not permitted at any time)
      • No Backpacks or Bags larger than 8”W X 8”H X 8”D in its natural state
      • No Signs, Posters and/or Banners
      • No Televisions and/or Radios
      • No Food and/or Beverages Except for Medical or Infant Needs
      • No Containers and/or Coolers Except for Medical or Infant Needs
      • No Pets (other than service animals)
      • No Lawn Chairs or Oversized Chairs
      • No Bicycles
      • No Ladders
      • No Metal-spiked Golf Shoes
      • No Weapons (regardless of permit) including, but not limited to firearms or knives
  • Mobile Device Usage Policy
    • Spectators are permitted to carry mobile devices (i.e., cell phones, smartphones, PDA’s, tablets) at the U.S. Amateur Championship and use them for limited purposes on the championship grounds, subject to the following restrictions:

      • All device volume controls must be set to “silent” or “vibrate” at all times.
      • Phone calls cannot be received or placed in any area that may disrupt play.
      • Photographs may ONLY be taken during practice rounds (Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16).
      • Video and audio recording are not permitted at any time during championship week.
      • Texting, email and the use of mobile applications are permissible throughout all areas of the golf course but use should NOT disrupt players

      Camera/Photography Policy
      Stand alone cameras may only be brought in and mobile device camera features may only be used during practice rounds (Saturday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 16) and only for personal photographic use. No photography is permitted in the presence of a player from the time he addresses the ball until the completion of his swing (i.e. when a marshal's arms are raised)

      Video and audio recording is not permitted at any time with any device.

      Violation of the above policy may result in immediate expulsion and loss of ticket privileges for the remainder of the championship.

      Complimentary parking will be available for spectators and volunteers of the 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship.
